Short Term Rentals, S.A. de C.V. ("Coco Bay", "we"), with address at Av. Hidalgo 1267 Poniente, Colonia Centro, C.P. 64000, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, is responsible for the processing and protection of your personal data under Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (the "Law"), its Regulations and other applicable rules.

Personal data we collect

For the purposes described in this notice we may collect: identification and contact data (name, last name, email and phone); booking data (dates, number of guests and property); and billing and payment data needed to process your reservation. We do not collect sensitive personal data.

Purposes of processing

Primary purposes (necessary for the service): managing and confirming your reservations, processing payments, communicating with you about your stay, providing customer support and complying with legal obligations.

Secondary purposes (not necessary for the service): sending you promotions, news and marketing communications, and personalizing and improving your experience on the site.

If you do not want your data used for the secondary purposes, you may tell us by emailing hello@cocobay.mx. Your refusal will not be grounds to deny you the services you request.

Data transfers

We may share your data with providers that help us operate the site and manage reservations and payments (for example, our booking engine and payment processors), who are required to handle it securely and only for the stated purposes. We may also transfer it when required by a competent authority or by law. Except in these cases, we do not transfer your data to third parties without your consent.

How to exercise your ARCO rights

You have the right to Access your personal data, Rectify it when inaccurate, Cancel it when you consider it is no longer needed, and Oppose its processing (ARCO rights). You may also withdraw at any time the consent you have given us.

To exercise any of these rights or withdraw your consent, send your request to hello@cocobay.mx stating your name, the right you wish to exercise and a means of contact. We will respond within the timeframes set by the Law.

Cookies and measurement technologies

Coco Bay uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, measure traffic, and improve your experience, including third-party tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta (Facebook), and TikTok for analytics and advertising purposes. Cookies strictly necessary to run the site are always active. Depending on your region, analytics and advertising cookies may load by default (with a notice that lets you decline) or require your prior acceptance. You can review or change your choice at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer, or manage and disable them in your browser settings. Declining these cookies does not affect your ability to browse or book on the site.

Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice. Any change will be posted on this page and will take effect upon publication; we recommend reviewing it periodically.
