Tourist Corridor & El Tezal
Resorts, views and swimmable beaches
The Tourist Corridor is the roughly 20-mile stretch of coastline that connects Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. It is home to the region’s most famous resorts, championship golf courses and — importantly — its best swimmable beaches. The hillside neighborhood of El Tezal, just above Cabo San Lucas, has become one of the most sought-after areas to stay, offering sweeping ocean views, newer villas and quick access to both towns.
Why stay in the Corridor or El Tezal
Staying along the Corridor gives you the best of both worlds: you are minutes from Cabo San Lucas’ energy and San José’s charm, with calm swimmable beaches and golf right outside your door. El Tezal in particular is popular for its elevated ocean views, modern homes and value. It is ideal for families and groups who want space, privacy and a relaxed pace without giving up convenience.
Things to do
Snorkel the protected coves at Chileno Bay and Santa María, two of the few truly swimmable, Blue-Flag beaches in Los Cabos. Play world-class golf at courses like Cabo Real and Cabo del Sol, visit beach clubs, or simply enjoy the views from your villa. Both towns are a short drive in either direction.
Beaches
This is where you’ll find the calmest water in Los Cabos. Chileno Beach and Santa María are sheltered bays ideal for swimming and snorkeling, with marine life just off the sand. Palmilla, near San José, is another reliably swimmable, family-friendly beach.
Dining
The Corridor is dotted with resort restaurants, beach clubs and standalone dining, and both Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo are a quick drive for a wider choice. A private chef at your villa is a popular option here, and our concierge is happy to arrange it.
Getting there
The Corridor sits between the two towns, so you are central to everything. Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is roughly 20 to 40 minutes away depending on where along the Corridor you stay. We can arrange a private airport transfer.
